Keeping Ken Artists Keeping Ken
I started collecting Ken and Barbie dolls in 1983. My first Ken was Sport & Shave Ken and he remains my very favorite. He reminds me of my earlier childhood favorite, Big Jim, with his flexing arms and sports theme. I now enjoy customizing Ken dolls, including repainting, rerooting and most recently flocking. (Reminding me of another childhood favorite, my Action Team G.I. Joes). I was so inspired by Alex Pedreira's work that I've attempted side glances Ken dolls of my own. Thanks Jef for allowing me to show my Ken dolls on this most fabulous and comprehensive site!-Matt Trujillo |
